İDDMİB Board Member and Aluminum Committee Member Şevket Çalışkan and İMMİB Deputy Secretary General Muharrem Kayılı attended the Harbor Aluminium Summit 2026 Conference in Chicago, USA, from June 1-4, 2026.
During the conference, they met with the Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Chicago, Tahir Bora Atatanır, and the Commercial Attaché of the Republic of Turkey in Chicago, Dr. Ahmet Samet Tekoğlu, to discuss current developments in the aluminum sector and the US market.
The conference, which brought together over 1,000 industry leaders from 40 countries, addressed topics such as pricing and premiums, primary and comprehensive aluminum, recycling, tariffs, regional developments, and recent developments in international markets, particularly in America, the European Union, and the Middle East.
